The Hotel Rosentaler Hof is situated approximately 8 km south of Velden on Lake Wörther (Wörthersee), at the foot of the Karawanken and next to the river Drau. A short drive of less than 30 minutes takes you to the towns of Klagenfurt and Villach, where you can find the two popular lakes Faakersee and Wörthersee, as well as great cross-country ski runs and 2 ski areas (the Gerlitzen Alpe and the Dreilaendereck). Due to our location in the border triangle you may want to grasp the opportunity to visit neighbouring Slovenia and Northern Italy and the Adriatic.

Directly off the Hotel are great racing bike routes and mountain bike tours. The well known Drauradweg (Drau bicycle trail) also goes directly past the hotel. The towering Karawanken mountains are a fantastic location for your mountain treks. If you prefer a more gentle leisurely walking style, you will find beautiful paths and walkways leading from the hotel.
